Lately I’ve been writing more and more cryptic n’ personal, so I should get back on track with DDO.
So far, I’ve been doing a lot of stuff with the guildies. Since Project Nemesis came out, we’ve been running that non-stop (grunt). It’s been pretty fun so far, and while my patience can run a bit short, I do have some really good times watching my clueless guildie run about in the wrong direction and get tripped by one of Irk’s mines. LOL. The other day we were all shrieking into the mic trying to get Zulkis and Irk aligned to the crystal. And then juuuust as Irk seems like he’s under the crystal he does his final stride and we all let out a collective (friendly) groan, like it’s a sports game. I just about died laughing watching Sno strafe that crystal across the grid so fast HAHAHA.
PN’s a pretty fun raid in that regard, I’ll hand them that. But I could see it being very quickly an annoyance once those who have ran it enough have mastered the raid mechanics.
Milo really needs to get back to cap sometime soon. Currently a Half Elf Cleric, I have plans to TR Niveax and then all of my characters will be nice and settled. Bard Spellsinger is maybe one that I’ll revisit on an alt; I may need to start making more alts. It’s hard to not play Sera though, when I’m the most comfortable using her especially to hard carry groups where needed. Syl’s an OK DPS, but I need to fit her out in Sharn gear next. Both Sera and Syl really, but fixing Sera is a bit harder because I would like to perform an LR on her before doing so, so that I can fix some feats around at the same time (so for now, she’s just got the impressive SP numbers to sport, but after Sharn juggling, she’ll likely lose out on one of the LGS pieces… which means for me, I’d rather just go HP feat and forget about breaking 5 digit SP numbers).
Niveax… so she’s probably going to go Ranger Inquisitive. I really don’t like to double up on classes, even though Rogue Inquisitive seems to be at the top right now. Gotta do a bit more research, but definitely going to make her a thrower or an Inq build. Need some ranged DPS in here.
So for building alts, I’d probably do:
- A first lifer Warlock Hurler for LShrouds may be acceptable (TR Rinnybon?)
- A properly TRed tank (would love MRR / PRR bonuses)
- A Ranger TWF or a heftier DPS toon (Fighter?) – this one is less priority
- An arcane DC caster, likely Sorcerer (super in love with casting speed, but also a potential hybrid if spell pass flies)
I’ll have to think about future plans a bit more. I’m always slow to start new alts (mostly because I reeeally need a theme before starting a build, so the other way around screws me). But it’s amazing the guild wants to build alts as well, filling roles to complement others – most of them want me on my Favored Soul. I’m warmed to see that!
